Angelus Intermedium - Precision Guaranteed
Calibrating ruler for gutta-percha points. This cannot be stated in regard to gutta-percha
cones. Due to their plasticity, they may present alterations. Besides the calibration of standardized cones, INTERMEDIUM prepares master cones of intermediate size. This is a great advantage when a standardized cone does not adapt to the apical diameter of root canals.
Characteristics
- Produced in high performance polymer: sterilizable in dry heat and autoclave
- Autoclavable
- Bottom groove : only instrument that prepares intermediate size points
- Metalic holes
- CE Mark: calibration control
Benefits
- Light and resistant to contact with chemicals
- Biosafety Guarantee
- Only instrument that prepares intermediate size points
- High Calibration control
Composition
- High performance polymer and metal inserts
Properties
- Perfect calibration (checking and corrections) of standardized gutta-percha cones, according to the last file used.
- Preparation of intermediate sizes of gutta-percha
High performance polymer and metal inserts
A. Cone calibration
1. Select the master cone according to size of last file used for root canal instrumentation.
2. Place the cone with slight pressure in the perforation that corresponds to size of last file (numbers are written in the back side of the ruler).
3. Verify three possible situations:
The cone enters the perforation and tip reaches evenly the front side surface of ruler: this cone does not need calibration.
The cone enters the perforation but tip does not reach the end of the perforation at the front side surface of ruler: this cone is too large; select another.
The cone passes through the perforation.
Cut the tip excess with a new blade.
IMPORTANT: After calibration, margin for error is 0.02 mm.
B. Preparation of intermediate sizes of cones
1. Select the master cone and calibrate it according to the previous instructions
